After departing Real Madrid at the end of the previous season, former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard made the announcement that he was giving up football.
Hazard, 32, joined Real from Chelsea in 2019 for £89m, but played just 54 league games for the Spanish giants.
He achieved success at Stamford Bridge by winning two Premier League championships.
Since his contract expired in June, Hazard has been an unrestricted free agent.
“You must listen to yourself and say stop at the right time,” Hazard said.
“After 16 years and more than 700 matches played, I have decided to end my career as a professional footballer.”
