Nigerian singer and Marlian Records head honcho, Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, has vehemently denied allegations that he is responsible for DJ Splash’s mental instability. In addition, he’s clarified reports about the possibility of Dj Splash being associated with Marlian Records.
Naira Marley, the artist behind hits like ‘Soapy,’ has faced a barrage of accusations recently, particularly following the untimely demise of his former signee, Mohbad. One of the more shocking allegations was that DJ Splash had suffered a mental breakdown after consuming substances provided by the Marlian team.
DJ Splash’s mother, in a recent video shared by actress Iyabo Ojo during her visit, alleged that her son’s mental health deteriorated after leaving Naira Marley’s residence.

However, during an interview with Reno Omokri, Naira Marley categorically denied all these allegations. He stated that DJ Splash was never officially signed to Marlian Music and that he was not responsible for the DJ’s mental instability.
Naira Marley clarified, “DJ Splash was never signed to Marlian Music. I know him as a DJ, but he has never deejayed with me at shows or anything; it is not like he is my DJ. They just gave him the title because I have a picture with him.”
He went on to explain that DJ Splash had parted ways with Marlian Records prior to the onset of his mental health issues. Naira Marley expressed bewilderment at the accusations, stating, “When whatever happened to him, he was not at my house, and I do not understand where all this is coming from.”
The denial from Naira Marley adds another layer to the ongoing controversies surrounding the artist and his association with Marlian Records. As the situation continues to unfold, it remains a topic of discussion and speculation within the Nigerian music industry and beyond.
