According to Walid Abu Haya, the spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Israel will continue its military operations until the Palestinian Hamas movement is no longer capable of conducting military activities.
According to The Nation, He also mentioned that Hamas has rejected the settlement terms put forth by the Middle East Quartet, which include recognizing agreements between Palestinians and Israel and refraining from becoming a political party.
Abu Haya further asserted that there is no distinction between Hamas and the Islamic State terrorist group, as both share the goal of exterminating the Jewish people.
In his words, “We will see the end of this war once Hamas loses its military potential. In recent years, Hamas has refused to accept the Middle East Qaurtet’s terms on settlement, including recognition of agreements between the Palestinians and Israel, preventing the organization from becoming a political party”.
“There is no difference between Hamas and the Islamic State terrorist group (banned in Russia) as their goal is to exterminate the Jewish people”, Abu Haya added.
